Spider Vein Treatments

Vasculaze

Vasculaze Treatment

Spider veins can be caused by genetics, a sedentary lifestyle, weight gain, pregnancy, or prolonged standing. We are now offering Vasculaze treatments to help resolve and alleviate these vascular lesions.

What is Vasculaze?

Vasculaze is an advanced laser treatment that improves a wide variety of vascular concerns by targeting the blood vessel that causes the blemish. This treatment can be used to improve vascular lesions on various areas, including the face. The treatment is precise; the head of the laser is designed to pinpoint the root of the concern, the vein or vein network.

How does it work?

The Vasculaze laser targets the pigment in the visible spider veins, which disables these specific veins. The body then reroutes the blood to another healthy vein, and the treated veins will eventually die and are absorbed into the body as waste.

Am I a candidate for Vasculaze?

Vasculaze is an ideal treatment for men and women of any skin type who would like to address vascular lesions. Ideal candidates are those that have not recently tanned their skin or had long sun exposure and are not taking or can stop taking any blood thinning medications or supplements.

What to avoid after a Vasculaze treatment

Prolonged Inactivity: One of the most important things you can do after treatment is to remain active. Walking helps with circulation.

Overly Strenuous Exercise: Activity is a good thing following treatment, but it should be done in moderation. High-impact workouts, like running or weight-lifting, can prevent your treated veins from fully healing. Avoid these types of workouts for at least 48 hours following treatment.

Excessive Sun Exposure: Overexposure to UV rays can cause blood vessel inflammation, which leads to swelling. This can hinder the healing process, and also cause discoloration in the treated area if it has not fully healed. If you expect to spend a lot of time outdoors following treatment make sure you are protected from the sun.

Excessive Heat: Another common recommendation is to abstain from hot baths and showers for about a week. The heat from a hot shower can cause the closed-off vein to dilate and open back up. This can impact the results from your treatment.

Results

To achieve ideal results, we typically recommend three sessions performed every 5-8 weeks, although some lesions may require more. Small capillaries usually minimize after only one treatment. For more significant concerns, you will notice gradual improvements after the first treatment, which improve over time as your treatment plan is completed.
